Its a miracle! ASDA's finest so don't get too excited, but it was a nice comforting curry meal and I didn't have to cook or even fetch myself. MIRACLE

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #76: Primordial Dinner

 Primordial Dinner is made with PRIMORDIAL FRUIT and SHROOM SHAKE


Which means we've got our old pal butternut squash back (maybe we did this recipe a loong while ago) and this time we're adding mushrooms to the mix! And probably some other stuff too.


We've stabbed the fruit a bit again, and then this time we'll try something a bit different: mushrooms, red onion, parsley, pine nuts, vegetable oil, soy sauce, thyme, salt and pepper


Just dump it all on top and it'd ready to go in the oven for like an hour again.

Im definitely sold on baking butternut squashes this way. Unsurprisingly though, I think the mushrooms make it worse and I do prefer the other recipe with the rosemary and cranberries.

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #75: Block Meal

 Block Meal is made from BLOCK BLOCK (gee thanks)


Block block seems to be a clear cube... okay... we can work with this though. I've got plain gelatine, water, my squarest food-safe container, and because the graphic comes with a lemon slice we're going to flavour it with lemon juice as well. that should still be clear ENOUGH.


Melting the gelatine in a bit of hot water, stirring it a lot and then adding in some cold water because this container is probably not heatproof.


Flavouring it with some lemon. 

And then its going in the fridge to have tomorrow when it's set.

Once again, I have overestimated the viability of jelly as any sort of sculpting tool, and my skill in really getting anything out of any container ever. Also it tastes like unsweetened lemon jelly. I suppose I can sprinkle some sugar on top.
Also I will eat a real dinner alongside this because, despite its name, this is not a meal.

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #74: Golden Meal

 Golden Meal is made with a GOLD BAR.


This is another somewhat abstract one, but I think the key ingredient here is that we make it GOLD AF, and for that i happen to have a small pot of FOOD GRADE EDIBLE GOLD LUSTER from back when I used to make dodgy looking cupcakes. And what to gold up? Well i've got a tamagoyaki pan and some tamago (eggs) if you see where this is going.

Havent mixed the eggs all that well but itll be fine, so once its started cooking i sprinkle grated cheddar on top and start to roll it up as it cooks. Oh we should also season it! Ill just us a bit of paprika salt because i dont want to ruin the colour too much with pepper or herbs.


Yeah its going well, already looks quite golden doesnt it!? Now i'm just going to luster it up with the gold powder and a soft brush, and serve it with some ruffled crisps.

Maybe it doesnt look bang on exactly, but it FEELS bang on to me. Really pleased with the idea and execution. A cheese filled omelette and some tangy crisps is definitely my idea of a golden meal!

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #73: Spicy Dinner

 Spicy Dinner is made with BIG EGG and HOT SAUCE


Sriracha woulda been a good pull but ive already got this hot and sweet sauce which is hella delicious so im going to pour it straight in the omelette mix and ive got a red chilli pepper to seal the deal. 


Chopping the pepper in as well because having a single giant pepper on top might read well graphically but im not about to throat goat satans lipstick for parity with a 16x16 resolution icon

OK dont look too closely, the sauce made it kind of sticky so it didnt hold together that well. Honestly not my favourite omelette ever, its just kind of sweet and tangy I should have made a more well rounded sauce, maybe mixed it with soy sauce and tomato concentrate or something. Also, not really that spicy considering.

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #72: Inky Soup

 Inky Soup is made with INKY SAUCE


Since we've already forked out for squid ink pasta, im not arsed enough to fork out for cuttlefish ink as well as its super rare and expensive so I had another idea, to make a borscht which is a highly pigmented soup made with beetroots, and pigment it even more with black food dye. Then I saw a huge can of borscht on sale in Lidl and I was like.. well hello if it isnt my good friend EASY STREET!
I also got some salad croutons you'll see why in a second.


Yeah check it this is looking nasty good

Really nice meaty and sour soup that I didn't really make. Looks downright haunted. I love it.

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #71: Spicy Soup

 Spicy Soup is made with FIRE BURST


I reckon some curry paste will make a good fire burst!


Beyond that I guess I can do whatever I want, so lets use up some leftovers and have a bit of meat. As of when I made this recipe its been salads and mushrooms for days... We've got red onions, carrots, radishes, bamboo shoots and chicken breast


Chopped the veg up into medium chunks first, ive got some coriander as well.


Then i chop the chicken, and cook it with some veg oil and a drizzle of chilli oil as well to add to our FIRE BURST-ness


When the chicken is lightly cooked we can add in the rest of the vegs and brown them a bit before souping it all up


Normally you make Massaman with coconut milk, which I thought I had but apparantly I didn't, so hopefully itll still be fine with water since we're going for a soup.


Let it stew for about 30+mins and then we can stir in a bit of cornflour to thicken it up and the coriander.
