Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #62: Spaghetti Plate

 Spaghetti Plate is made from FRESH PASTA BUNCH


Plain pasta would be pretty weaksauce so ill use this recipe to make a basic pork & beef mince ragu. Since the pasta looked kinda brown I thought i'd get some wholewheat linguine.


I've diced garlic, onion, carrot and celery into tiny cubes using my vegetable chopper. Love this janky bitch what a time saver!

Then we add the mince.


once its browned adding in red wine, "beef stock" (well i only had vegetable stock it turns out), and tomato puree, and i added a little bit of worcestershire sauce as well


When its all had time to stew the pasta goes on as well.

Wholewheat pasta looks like the standard white(?) pasta tbh. At least its higher in fiber or something.

A good, pretty standard spaghetti ragu tbh. Kind of wish I had gone harder on the wine and tomato in the end as it was fairly mild and safe in flavour. While typing this up i also just realised I had parmesan in the fridge I could have put on top. But oh well, this recipe called for basic and we provided basic!

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #61: Veggie Set

 Veggie set is made with HEALTHY SALAD and BIG EGG

I'm going to take the veggies we used for Healthy Salad and add a few more, plus some boiled eggs.


Chopping them all up. We've got some onions, croutons and a different dressing to add this time


I've been trying to get better at softboiling eggs, but honestly? Maybe this was the wrong time for softboiles eggs. they're so mushy in the salad. Also I realise now looking at the sprite, its supposed to also have "horsetails" which ive been replacing with asparagus, but nah the other stuff will do.

Quite nice but surprisingly I think the other salad worked better. I shoulda done hardboiled eggs.

Oops almost forgot i've got cucumber as well! I'm also adding a simple salad dressing because i dont hate myself

Man honestly, a simple well balanced salad really hits the spot sometimes. Maybe not the same spot as a buttermilk chicken burger with chilli sauce and fries, but it hits *a* spot.

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #59: Spit Roast

 Spit Roast is made from a BONE-IN CUT


I don't really have a campfire or a spit to do a full on spit roast but I will go out of my way to find some kind of bone-in cut of meat which is actually surprisingly hard to find? Still I found these fancy gammon shanks which look perfect for the job. These are kind of pre-made and come with dressing so its a lazy one but w/e.

Damn these look kinda narsty uncooked lol

But cooked they are hella nice! I don't usually like gammon that much but these were mega slow cooked and then came with a really sweet sticky honey balsamic sauce that went super well.

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #58: Hot Dog

 Hot Dog is made from POWER STEAK and FRESH VEGGIE


Since it was a "power steak" i wanted to get some beef sausages to go more with the theem but i couldnt bloody find any so instead i got these massive bockwurst they were even on sale. And the VERY BEST ingredientes: a proper brioche bun, NY pickle relish, hot & sweet sauce and a fresh lettuce.


I know you're supposed to boil hot dogs but I really like to fry them and brown the outside. Also unrelated kinda but for extra fresh veggie i had a bunch of kale to eat up so im frying them as a side dish.


When the dogs done i also warm up the bun a little bit, this buns gonna be way too small lol

Putting some lettuce and a cheeky bit of pickle relish down first, because I love the sausse

Good classic hot dog with nice ingredients. I always like a hot dog even a really cheap one, and so this fancier one was a guaranteed hit.

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #57: Gorgeous Steak

 Gorgeous Steak is made from POWER STEAK and HAMBURGER


Instead of cooking a steak and a hamburger, I thought it might be cool to take inspiration from the ESSENCE of hamburgers, and do a big steak in a beef & onion gravy.


Gotta wash the sides on the side.


Man this is a big steak. Where were you when I was doing those cooking mama recipes?


Yeah this should be cooked enough idk.


Next we pop the steak to one side and fry the onions while we mix up some instant gravy. I also added a bit of mustard.


then mix it all together with the juice from the steak, and pop the sauce on the steak (and the rest in a container for later)


now to lightly fry some kale and carrots for the sides, and fish out a bit of beetroot

Well apart from letting it cool down a lot while i cleaned the damn floor, it was pretty nice. I liked the overall package, the beets and onions gave a nice crispy bite. Wish I had seasoned it a bit more, and the steak was tough, I should have tenderized it.

Super Paper Mario: Saffron & Dyllis Super Show #56: Fruity Hamburger

 Fruity Hamburger is made from POWER STEAK and KEEL MANGO


Time for the rest of those hamburgers, but to include the mango i'm going to go with a two-pronged approach here. We've got the fruity mango sriracha sauce to use in place of the hanbagu sauce, and then we've also got some AMCHOOR which is powdered mango(!) which we can use as seasoning.


So yeah here's the burgers with some amchoor spreadd on 'em.


And I'll make up a little side salad for the garnish, I realise I didn't buy any dressing so hopefully this spicy coconut vinegar will make do. More fruity! 


Yeah these are looking good! Not really as big as the hanbagus in the recipe are they but I still kinda like saving on time and a shit load of washing up this way.

Really nice! The tangy sauce goes great with a smoky burger, and the extra garnish kinda gives it the edge over the other recipe since its a little more like a meal.
